We have been using these traps for 2 days and the fruit flies are using them as hang outs! I should have read all the reviews before buying them. Bummer.Response From Terro®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for providing this feedback! Nuisance flies such as gnats or drain flies are commonly mistaken for fruit flies. This trap will be effective for fruit flies only.

Don't waste your money on this. Just put a 80/20 mixture of Apple Cider Vinegar and dish soap in an tray and leave it out in an area you see the flies. Watch how fast it works, and it costs about 50 cents.Response From Terro®Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience. The key to successful elimination of fruit flies is to locate their breeding source and place this trap nearby. If the flies are not attracted to the lure, it is more than likely not a fruit fly invasion, but rather some other type of nuisance fly.

I dont know if its the infestation we have or they just attract to those they arent working like we thought they would.Response From Terro®Lauren : Consumer Relations Representative
Thank you for sharing this feedback. These traps are designed to attract fruit flies. If the insects in the home are not attracted to the trap, they may be a similar-looking fly such as a drain fly or fungus gnat, which are commonly found in homes as well.
