Questions about TERRO® Ant & Roach Baits

TAGS

Q.Does the roach bait activate automatically? For ants we just cut the container "spout", but for roaches it appears the paste is in the bottom and accessible when they walk in and there is nothing to do except put the unit on the floor.
A.

The paste is active immediately and does not require a seal to be removed in order to be effective.

Q.I bought a package of this product a year or two ago, and haven’t used all the traps. Are they still good, or do they expire after a certain amount of time, losing their effectiveness?
A.

As long as the ant bait is still liquid inside the station, product will be effective.

Q.hey there, is it safe to place a trap while having a dogat the house?
A.

We recommend placing the bait stations out of reach of children and pets.

Q.Its definitely drawing the ants out but they just die where they are feeding. It seems to then just block other ants from getting to the bait. The others just start wondering everywhere looking for more bait. I am thinking it isn't going to get the queen. It also looks like they are nesting close to where the bait is this mossy looking fuzzy like brown patch appeared close by. I cleaned it all then reapplied the bait. It draws them out again then they just die crowded around the bait. Am I doing something wrong? I don't know hat kind of ants these are but they are definitely persistent. Very small dark in color like acrobat ants.
A.

While it may look like many of the ants are dying near the bait, rest assured, plenty will make it back to the colony and share the bait with the colony. Ants may occasionally move the nest closer to the bait as they see it as a food source. We recommend leaving the ants and bait as undisturbed as possible.

Q.What are the roach pastes ingredients?
A.

The active ingredient in this product is Abamectin B1 (0.05%). All other ingredients are proprietary.
