Wipe out carpenter ants, termites and other unwelcome pests with TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer. This convenient aerosol spray kills on contact and provides long-lasting residual control, continuing to kill pests up to four weeks. TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer features a non-staining spray that leaves behind no unpleasant odors.
With its handy, two-way spray nozzle, TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer can be used indoors and outdoors as a coarse spray, or as a crack and crevice treatment to control carpenter ants, termites, carpenter bees, wood wasps, beetles and borers.
Carpenter Ant Killer:
For quick and effective control of carpenter ants, treat nests and the surrounding areas. Apply TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer around doors, windows and other places where ants could enter. Using the directional two-way stream nozzle, inject the TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer into infested wood, and cracks and crevices where insects may be hiding, living and breeding.
Wipe Out Wood-Infesting Insects:
To quickly kill termites and other wood-infesting insects such as beetles, borers, carpenter bees and wood wasps, begin by locating the area of infestation such as insect tunnels and cavities. Using the crack and crevice nozzle tip, spray the TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer into tunnels and galleries. In infested inaccessible closed voids, small holes should be drilled eight to 10 inches apart to ensure thorough insecticide gallery treatment. Take care not to contact electrical wiring or plumbing when treating. For termites, the purpose of this aerosol spray is to kill workers or winged forms which may be present. Such applications are not a substitute for mechanical alteration, soil treatment or foundation treatment but are merely a supplement. Not recommended as a sole protection against termites. For active infestations, get a professional inspection.

After the first application I noticed a considerable drop in ant activity, but they were not completely gone. I've applied 2 more applications since and I still have some ant activity in the treated area. It seems that it took care of about 90% of the problem but I can't seem to completely get rid of the ants. I'm hoping with additional treatments that I can completely kill off the nest.Date published: 2014-07-29Rated 5 out of 5 by E. We have seen carpenter ants throughout our house. I have been using liquid baits and have seen some ants eating from the bait. The population has diminished but I'm still seeing ants. Will this product work even if you can't locate the nest to spray ?The baits are designed to kill the entire colony of ants, even if the nest has not been located. This spray is a contact killer and will kill the ants sprayed directly. It will also provide residual protection for up to 4 weeks. However, it is not designed to eliminate the nest.Date published: 2015-12-14

There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
