They work great. I just didn't need 12 boxes. I only wanted two boxes. Now I know why the bill was so high. But, I would highly recommend this prduct for anyone suffering from the onslaught of ants like I was.Date published: 2017-01-10Rated 5 out of 5 by Star from Amazing! Went from an invasion of hundreds of ants to none in days. I cannot express in words how much Terro has saved my house. My ant invasion was so bad, there were ants in the furniture and all over my bed. I had to sleep on the couch for a week! At first, the ant bait didn't attract much ants, but when I returned an hour later the tin was BLACK. I set up the baits last week and in 2-3 days all the ants were gone. Next winter I know what I'm buying again!Date published: 2016-12-20Rated 5 out of 5 by Tracey from Great value, works like a charm! The last 3 years we have bought Terro Liquid ant baits in the spring. We always seemed to get little ants in the kitchen in the Spring. Works quickly and its kind of cool that you can see how many ants it catches! Not at all expensive, so a great value with no yucky fumes.Date published: 2016-12-04Rated 5 out of 5 by michelle71 from Best Product for a Colony This 6 pack cleared an entire colony from my bathroom wall.Date published: 2016-12-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris053 from Gone for Good The first sign of an ant, I put these down and they disappear....gone forever...they work terrific and I always have on hand!!!Date published: 2016-12-04Rated 5 out of 5 by Seachel from Bye Bye Ants! One of my ant traps spilled several months ago and is now very hard. How do I clean it up?To clean, we recommend placing a warm damp cloth overtop of the hardened bait. Let this sit for a half an hour and then wipe up the bait with warm soapy water.Date published: 2016-12-06
DOES IT KILL GHOST ANTS?This will kill ghost ants among other common sweet eating household ants.Date published: 2016-12-06
Is you product pet-safe?The active ingredient in this product is borax which is found in many household products. You can use this with confidence around pets, however we recommend placing the bait in an area inaccessible to pets and children.Date published: 2016-11-11
We placed traps down on Tuesday and as of this morning, it appeared that the ants were dying out. When we got home this evening, the ants were back in full swing. Is this normal or should we put out new traps?Yes this is normal. These baits attract the majority of the ants in a colony to take it back with them to the full colony. Once they take it back, the ants will eat the bait and die. We recommend removing the baits when you see a decrease in activity.Date published: 2016-11-11
How many baits are in each pack? Can they be placed between the window & the screen on the outer side of the glass window...the area that gets some weather? Can they be places where your dishes are, is that safe? Thank you. There are 6 baits in each box. We recommend using these wherever you are seeing ant activity. It will draw the colony to the baits and will then eliminate them. Complete control may take up to two weeks depending on the size of the colony.Date published: 2016-11-11
Can you reuse the traps? I put one out and within hours is was full of ants. A day later they were all gone and the trap is still half full. Can I reuse it in a different location? There is one dead ant still in there. If the ants are no longer visiting the area, but ants are still located in other areas of the home, the trap can be moved to those other locations.Date published: 2016-11-02
- All About
There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
Why are ants always invading my kitchen, bathroom and laundry areas?Ants are attracted to food, water and shelter. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms provide at least two of these conditions, making it an ideal haven for ants to congregate.
What’s the difference between liquid and gel ant baits? It’s a little known fact that adult worker ants cannot digest solid food (bait). Their anatomy is designed for transporting and digesting liquids only. Solid foods must be carried back to the colony for additional processing by the larvae stage. Liquid baits exploit this unique physiology by making it easy for ants to transport the liquid bait back to the rest of the colony, including the queen, larvae and other workers.
How long does it take to eliminate an ant colony with TERRO Liquid Ant Bait?Remember, this is a BAIT ant control product and will initially attract a lot of ants. The ants consume large quantities of the bait and then return to the nest and share it with the rest of the colony, including the queen, eventually eliminating the entire colony. This process can take from just a couple days to several weeks, depending on the size of the colony. Each ant that consumes the bait will die within 24 - 48 hours. It is important to leave the bait as undisturbed as possible while the ants are actively feeding on it. You should replace it only if it becomes inaccessible to the ants, or empty.
