Review RateSo far, so good!
I used another product to spray my cupboard and drawers, but they returned to make a trail on my kitchen faucet. I put 2 Terro baits around the base of the faucet. There were so many ants feeding on the bait I added 2 more for backup. I wanted to give up after 24 hours, but today the ants are almost gone, even the ants that were in the bait traps which were filled are gone! I'm hoping the few lone ants will be gone shortly!
Review RateWorks quickly
I got these because another brand didn't seem to be doing much for the sugar ants in my kitchen. Within 5 minutes the 2 baits were full of ants. A couple days later I had no ants coming to the bait. There were alot that died in the bait. I got rid of those and put out a new one. So far no ants, maybe it took care of them?
Review RatePerfect product
Best product for the job hands down!! One bottle can last for years, well worth every cent!!! Wish I could show a picture on here how in seconds those little ants were ALL OVER this Terro
I don't even know what to say because I'm still shocked and confused. We have a HUGE ant infestation in our Los Angeles home. We set 2 traps near just 1 of the 4 locations they were coming into. After 1 day the ants were gone! From the entire house! GONE! I don't want to jinx myself but this stuff is miraculous
Review RateIt just plain works
Works perfect I had ants coming out of the light switch in my garage and walking down the drywall going behind a cabinet I didn't want to move a bunch of stuff and had no place flat to put it so I taped it on the wall in the middle of the ant trail at a 45 degree angle so they could get in there easy. About and hour later went back to look to see if it was working and OMG was it I was grossed out the thin line became about an inch wide line and they were taking the bait as fast as they could this lasted about 2 days then not an ant to be seen so I left it there for a week now and still nothing. I figure I will leave it there for another week or so just to make sure there is only a bit of bait left inside and some ants that got greedy and ate themselves to death. Also you can see the ants taking the bait I used my LED flashlight because I didn't want to touch the switch and you could see the ants carrying the bait the ones with the bait had a little bluish dot looked like a glass bead on there back Thanks for a great solution.
Review RateDamn ants
It did everything you said it would, the ants are gone.
Review RateI will not recommend.
I ordered a large box of your product TERRO (8/33/17), I have put it outside (which got blown away sticking sticky substance everywhere). I also put them in my house. It attracted very few soldiers to carry the poison to the others. Some reason they have made their home in my bathroom which has made me very nervous whether I will be bitten etc. FYI they bite and also jump from one place to another so it is very hard to corral to spray with bug spray to kill them. I am very unhappy with your product.Response From Terro®Patty : Consumer Relations Representative
We are very sorry to hear about this experience and would like to help
This product is designed primarily for indoor use. We have the same bait in two products intended for outdoor use. This will attract sweet-eating ants. Many biting ants will be looking for protein and ignore this bait. Please give our Consumer Relations Team a call at 1-800-800-1819 x 458 for assistance in finding the product that fits the situation.

Review RateBest product I've found to remove ants
I've never written a review for any product before but I had to leave one here because I was so pleased with how quickly and effectively these traps worked for me. The directions stated to use all 4 traps, but since I was able to pinpoint exactly where the ants were coming in I decided to only use 2. (This was after I had used 4 ant traps from a different company that did absolutely nothing to help the problem. In fact, the ants got worse.) I placed 2 of these traps where the ants were coming in and within a few hours one was completely full of ants and the second one had many ants in it as well. They were moving very fast back and forth from their entrance to the traps as if they couldn't wait to take this stuff back to their colony. After only 3 days my kitchen was totally free from ants and has remained so for about a month now. In the future these will be the only ant traps I ever buy. Great product!
Review RateQuit working ...
In the past, these terro liquid bait traps worked great. However, recently I've had the traps out in my laundry room for over 3 weeks!!!..it is like the ants just keep coming!! No let up at all.. I've now used 8 liquid traps, all drained of the liquid by the ants. It is like I'm just feeding them..Honestly, don't know what's going on, but over 3 weeks of waiting for these buggers to die off is more than I can stand. Tried to call Terro & they put me on hold for over 25 minutes!! really? that is just a ridiculous long wait, so finally hung up... Trying to figure out why this product is no longer working.Response From Terro®Anthony : Consumer Relations Representative
We apologize for this experience and are happy to help.
Ants are unable to build up a resistance to the Borax used in this product and will die within 48 hours of eating it. It is not unusual for it to take weeks for this to eliminate an ant problem, especially if the colony is large or if there are more than one that are coming to the baits. It is only when the queen of each nest eats it as well that the colony will begin to die out.

- All About
There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
Why are ants always invading my kitchen, bathroom and laundry areas?
Ants are attracted to food, water and shelter. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms provide at least two of these conditions, making it an ideal haven for ants to congregate.
What’s the difference between liquid and gel ant baits?
It’s a little known fact that adult worker ants cannot digest solid food (bait). Their anatomy is designed for transporting and digesting liquids only. Solid foods must be carried back to the colony for additional processing by the larvae stage. Liquid baits exploit this unique physiology by making it easy for ants to transport the liquid bait back to the rest of the colony, including the queen, larvae and other workers.
How long does it take to eliminate an ant colony with TERRO® Liquid Ant Bait?
Remember, this is a BAIT ant control product and will initially attract a lot of ants. The ants consume large quantities of the bait and then return to the nest and share it with the rest of the colony, including the queen, eventually eliminating the entire colony. This process can take from just a couple days to several weeks, depending on the size of the colony. Each ant that consumes the bait will die within 24 - 48 hours. It is important to leave the bait as undisturbed as possible while the ants are actively feeding on it. You should replace it only if it becomes inaccessible to the ants, or empty.
