Q.Are these bates safe around household animals such as dogs?

Q.I just opened a new box today, and 2 of the six baits have dark yellow liquid, not clear. Should I throw them out, and what is wrong with them?
A.

Sometimes the bait will turn an amber or brownish color, as long as the bait is still liquid it will still work.

Q.Is the bait required to be flat horizontally? I want to put it vertically on my wall.

Q.I placed one bait by the main entrance 4 days ago and within a day, many ants got drowned inside the bait and had a significant drops in number of ants in the house. I saw no ants for 2 days but i wanted to leave out for a few more days. So i moved the used bait (still has lots of liquid left) a little closer to where ants used to come from, and i now see some ants coming wandering around again! I disposed of the old bait and replaced with a new one. I hope the bait is not attracting new colony from the garage. Please help
A.

This product will control the ants in the immediate area. If there are multiple colonies in the area, the product will continue to be effective as long as it is in liquid form.

Q.My dog got into the bait , don’t think he ingested much of any of bait . Fed him right away anything I should be aware of re : pets and the ant traps??
A.

The main ingredients in this product are sugar, water and borax. If a pet ingested the product, we recommend contacting a veterinarian for further assistance. Every animal will react differently to the product.

Q.Why did you change the containers to this stupid "snap off" opening. I don't care how much you twist bend or curse, It does NOT snap off, and if you cut it where it is supposed to snap off the opening is far above (from an ant's perspective) the floor. If you persist in trying to snap it, you must squeeze the container so hard that you just end up with a hand full of sticky poison goo. Go back to the old way. The new one sucks big time. Otherwise, a greatly effective product.

Q.I placed two ant bait stations on the window sill where the ants first appeared. Within hours both bait stations were teeming with ants. Now, two days later, no more ants anywhere in my kitchen. Loving this! My question: the bait stations are both filled up with dead ants. IS this normal? Should I replace the bait stations? Thank you.
A.

We are glad the product worked so well for you! While most of the ants will take the bait back to the colony, some ants may die in the bait stations. If there are no more ants, we recommend disposing of the bait stations and replacing them with new ones (as needed).

Q.Does Terro ant baits kill flying carpenter ants?
A.

While this product will be effective for Carpenter ants if they ingest it, we do not recommend it as they are typically looking for a protein based food source. Carpenter ants are generally not attracted to sweet products.
