TERRO® Flea Trap

Detect, monitor, and control flea infestations inside your home with the TERRO® Flea Trap. This trap, which features sticky glue boards, lures fleas out of upholstery and carpeting from up to 30 ft away. The unique design helps you to eliminate your flea problem without spraying chemicals or dousing your pets. The trap uses light and heat to simulate a warm-blooded host. When the fleas jump at their intended meal, they instead land on the SuperGrabber glue discs and get stuck. The trap’s small footprint also allows you to place it almost anywhere.

Attract fleas from up to 30 feet away

Attracts Fleas From Up To 30 Feet Away

When plugged in, the TERRO® Flea Trap utilizes light and heat to draw fleas out of their hiding spaces. These attractants can entice fleas from up to 30 feet away when no other attractants are nearby. If you’re a pet owner, you can use the TERRO® Flea Trap year-round as an early detection device, luring these parasites out of upholstery, carpeting, and cracks.

How it Works

Why are fleas so eager to investigate the TERRO® Flea Trap? Adult fleas sense heat, which to them indicates a warm-blooded animal that they typically use as a host. By simulating the warmth of the host, the flea trap attracts fleas from where they live and hide. When the fleas jump toward the heat in an attempt to feast on their “host,” they instead find themselves stuck to the SuperGrabber glue board, unable to escape. The glue board will also capture other insects that attempt to cross its path.

How it works
Easy to Use

Easy to Use

For your convenience, the TERRO® Flea Trap is easy to use. To set up, simply extend the canopy until it clicks into place, insert the glue board and remove the release paper, and then turn on the light. Place the trap on the floor in an area where fleas are common – typically where your pet spends a lot of time. Put in a fresh glue board every two to four weeks. This trap includes two glue board inserts, with additional refills sold separately.

Canopy Design Protects Glue Boards

In addition to the trap’s effective flea-catching abilities, it also features convenient design elements. The attached canopy helps to partially obscure the glue board from view, so you don’t have to look at the insects. It also acts as a protective cover for the glue board to keep objects, people, and pets from accidentally coming in contact with the sticky surface.

We got 2 flea traps and they really do work. Hate to use the flea spray as dog is so small. Wish they had them at ACE Hardware.

Set-up was simple and clean. Since I set it up it has "taken out" a plethera of insect species.

100% recommended

Just rescued two kittens and had a flea issue. I bought this and within 20 minutes there were tiny fleas trapped. I just bought 4 more to put in each room where they love to hang out in. Beware.. curious kittens like to check it out and might get their fur caught on the sticky paper. Like mine did. Lol. I would 100% recommend this.

Possibly a good option for enclosed kennels

This would be best for kennels, shelters or Veterinary Clinics. It has a light it is electric and the sticky pad is partially exposed. Which is why I believe it would work well where the animal isn't going to possibly get into the sticky pad.

No odor flea trap

I received this item at no cost in order to try at home then review online. The primary reason I favor this product is the non-toxicity of the flea trap as I've a bird in addition to two cats. Since I regularly use topical flea and tick spot treatment on my cats and they do not go outdoors, I did not observe fleas on the placard but it is quite sticky. I would use this again. Plus, it makes a great night light should the need arise to eliminate fleas, etc.!

Flea trap works

It says it works on more than just fleas, so I moved it to my basement and it caught very small bugs also. Just set it up and check it every few days to see if the glue pad needs replacing. Very easy to use and great results.

All this for fleas?

Plastic is not very strong, one of the plastic tabs on a leg broke off very easily during assembly. Product seems very elaborate for catching fleas but is too flimsy for something that plugs into line voltage.

Good Idea But Not Easy to Use

The basic idea of this product is very good. However, when extending the legs to click into position, they did not want to click into place without a lot of hard pulling. The two white thin strips of paper that are to remain on the glue board after you pull the other paper off do not stay attached. They come up with the rest of the paper. Inserting the glue board means bending it a little to place it in the unit, and that means you get stuck to the board too! With some revisions this could be a great product but as it stands now, I will continue to use the product similar to this in my home. If these issues are resolved, I would be glad to try it again.

Q&A

I own several of these traps. I use them often. Can you please tell me the replacement bulb info so I can replace the lights that have burned out.
Thank you
Question by: Darcy Amato on Jul 26, 2023, 1:20 PM
If your light bulb has burned out, replacements can be found at many local retailers. For best results, it should be replaced with a 7 watt, 120 volt bulb, similar to what you would use in an electric candle.
