Several people asked (in their reviews) if refills of lure liquid might be available. No one has answered that question. What can you tell us?
Question by: Tom Groot on Oct 14, 2024, 11:24 PM
Refills are not available for these traps. Currently, for hygienic reasons, the traps are designed to be disposable and should be thrown away after 45 days of use.

I have the traps. Can I purchase addition liquid
Question by: Dave Dirks on Oct 17, 2024, 12:49 PM
The bait is not available for sale individually.
Answer by: Kristen on Oct 17, 2024, 1:00 PM
What is the longest distance these traps can attract fruit flies from? I am trying to cover a large trailer shared space work area and need to know how far apart or how close to space multiple traps for full coverage.
Question by: Ellen Murphy on Oct 31, 2024, 2:16 PM
We recommend spacing them about 25 feet apart.
Answer by: Kristen on Oct 31, 2024, 2:56 PM
I accidently used all of the liquid in the apples. Will they still working or do I need to empty some?
Question by: Mist on Nov 4, 2024, 11:44 PM
They will still work.
Answer by: Kristen on Nov 22, 2024, 2:01 PM
This product labels the liquid bait as “non-toxic” but this claim is indeterminate without an ingredient list, subjective to the species being exposed as well as the quantity of exposure to species in question. What specific chemicals/fluids is the liquid bait comprised of? Are they “non-toxic” to dogs? Cats? Infants? Please provide an ingredient list.
Question by: Kathryn Hinkle on Nov 7, 2024, 9:36 PM
The lure is a proprietary food-based lure. We are unable to provide the ingredients
Answer by: Victor (Admin) on Nov 8, 2024, 4:08 PM
The packager covered the directions with tape. I cannot read directions. Can you please post directions on how much liquid to put in each apple
Question by: Elberta on May 26, 2025, 7:09 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.
We’re sorry to hear the directions were covered by packaging tape. Here are the full instructions for using the fruit fly traps:
Place the traps upright on a solid surface and remove the cap from the lure bottle.
Insert the tip of the lure bottle into the center hole of the trap. Pour half (15 mL) of the bottle into each trap.
Position the traps in areas where fruit flies are commonly seen. Be sure to place them where they will not be disturbed or tipped over.
Discard the traps after 45 days of use.
If you’d like to see a digital version of the instructions, please visit www.terro.com, search for model T2502, and click on “Instructions” under the product page.

Just set up the trap and the fruit flies are crawling all over it but don't seem to be going in. Does it take a while for them to go into the trap? By the way I use your liquid ant bait. Works every time!!! Thanks.
Question by: Steven on Jul 30, 2025, 3:07 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.
Yes, it may take a little time for the fruit flies to enter the trap. Once they do, they will be unable to escape or continue breeding. In a matter of days, you should begin to notice a significant decrease in the fruit fly population.
It would be our pleasure to assist you with any further questions. We're glad to hear the liquid ant bait is working well for you!

You stated that fluid refills are not available, citing hygienic reasons. But for those of us who like to gamble with germs, please consider selling just the liquid refills. Or at least provide a recipe we can make at home. It drives me crazy every time I need to buy more because more plastic to throw away is never good for the environment. So what say you, Terro?
Question by: René on Aug 27, 2025, 10:56 PM
Thank you for the feedback. We understand your concerns about waste and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
The product is designed to be disposable and should be replaced every 30 days for hygienic reasons. We do not sell refills, and unfortunately, we are unable to provide a recipe for the lure because its ingredients are proprietary.

What is the chemical make-up of the liquid . As a person highly allergic to many things that touch my skin, it would be beneficial to know what that liquid is. Plus anyone having small children would need to know if a child accidentally obtained access to it.
