I have always used these and they have worked great. After a couple of days they would be full of knats, all knats would be gone. But I bought these over a week ago and not one knat has been captured or lured in!! Did you change the solution????!!!! Change it back PLEASE!

We’re sorry to hear the TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap did not perform as expected. We have not changed the attractant formula, and many customers continue to have success with it. For best results, place the trap near areas where fruit flies are active, such as fruit bowls, trash cans, or sinks, and remove any competing food or moisture sources that may attract them away from the trap. We appreciate your feedback and will share your comments with our product team.
It didn't work.

It didn't work. The fruit flies are still breeding and thriving like crazy and, for the most part, are avoiding the traps or just sitting on them, not even going in aside a few individuals. I know those aren't fungus gnats or drain flies, because these are definitely fruit flies and are attracted to fruits and vegetables, and we're using the right ingredients (not too much or too little soap, the apple vinegar, etc). I can't believe I wasted money for this useless product. :(

We're really sorry to hear how frustrating this has been. That’s definitely not the experience you were hoping for. From what you’re describing, it sounds like the fruit flies are more attracted to nearby food sources than to the traps, which can sometimes happen even when the bait is prepared correctly. A few things that often make a big difference: Remove competing attractants: Make sure all ripe/overripe fruits, vegetable scraps, and trash are sealed or stored away. Even a small source can outcompete the trap. Placement matters: Try positioning the traps right next to where you’re seeing the most activity (fruit bowls, trash bins, sinks). Fruit flies can reproduce quickly, so it may take a few days of consistent trapping and removing breeding sources to see a noticeable drop. That said, your feedback is really important, and we understand how disappointing it feels when something doesn’t work as expected.

Outstanding! I still don't know if my problem was fruit flies or gnats. But they're pretty much gone after 1 day. I have done the vinegar/baking soda hack. Boiling water. Name it, I've tried it. Even bought 2 plug in ultra violet traps ($$$). 50/50 on the results. And they came back. Stumbled upon the "apples." Within an hour, I saw a couple. Then noticed a ton of em crawling all over the apple. By next morning, Nada! I literally got overnight results for less than $5. I've already gone out, and bought a few more to be at the ready. BTW. My apt bldg has boiler heat. Even in winter, it's warm and humid. Perfect breeding grounds. I am extremely amazed and even more happy. Buy this product!!!

These apple shaped traps are useless. Sure, the solution attracts the fruit flies, but they won't go in. It seems these nano-sized pests are smarter than your lab and design staff, sheesh...!!

Thank you for sharing your experience with the TERRO® Fruit Fly Trap. We’re sorry to hear the trap didn’t work as expected. These traps are designed so the scent draws fruit flies inside, so a few placement steps can help improve results. Place the trap right where the flies are active, keep the entry holes clear, and remove competing food sources like overripe fruit or spills. Keeping it away from strong airflow can also help the lure stay concentrated.
They work at work :)

Have fruitflys at work that were annoying- Tryed the homemade acv version- not much luck- Bought the zevo plug in thing- it caught 2 in 7 days- so i put 4 of these out 2 on each floor- within few days they caught many- I placed them near trash cans and near sink- They work period! And they don't look out of place- 4 stars is because i think 2 bottles of the acv liquid would be better-

If you’re fighting an infestation ...

If you’re fighting an infestation and you think you can leave them and be done with it YOURE WRONG. They will breed around and even INSIDE THE TRAPS making all the ones you caught pointless because more are being born. Like, they work, but I haven’t even reached the 45 days it says you can leave them out for and this is happening…

One star for ease of use; though easy to use these are totally ineffective in my home. I have two traps placed in the “fly zones” for more than a week and no bugs have been enticed to take a peek. In my opinion these are a total waste of money!

Bought these and the Raid® Indoor Fruit Fly Trap, with Food-Based Lure. Set up both side by side and after 2 days the Terro one had lots in them and the Raid had none, not 1!!

Got this several day's ago and put one in my kitchen and one in the bathroom. Later in the day while in the kitchen I noticed a clear liquid on my kitchen counter the trap had leaked completely out onto my counter top. I just hope I got it all up not knowing if it is harmful to humans.
