TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits

I tried several different ant baits after a colony of aggressive red fire ants completely took over my little garden just weeks after adding new mulch. I was honestly devastated because I have geckos living in the garden, and I was really worried about using anything that could harm them. I was also concerned the ants themselves would end up attacking the geckos because of how aggressive they were.
I tried multiple bait products and the ants completely ignored every single one... except Terro. The moment I put this stuff down, the ants were drawn to it like a magnet. Within two days, the activity was completely gone. I haven’t seen a single ant, and the soil that was infested by the colony is now , when I disturb it with mixing up the soil there's no activity whatsoever.
This product truly worked when nothing else did. If you’re dealing with stubborn fire ants, especially around pets, reptiles, or a garden area you care about, I highly recommend giving Terro a try.

Hands down best ant killer that’s available at a “normal” big box store.. (Walmart, Lowe’s, etc) I tried MULTIPLE different sprays and baits and this stuff attracted and killed more ants in 1 day than I had managed to kill in the week prior.

The product is still good but the new container leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t tear easily and, more importantly, they don’t have the nice little ramp up to the bait that the old containers have. The ants don’t climb into it with the right side up. I have to turn it upside down, which causes some of it to spill out, in order for the ants to get into it. Please bring back the other design.

I would have given it no stars if I could. Worst product ever. I bought 2 boxes of this crap only to throw them in the garbage. Could not get the sticky side paper off either could anyone else that tried. Buyer beware

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience.
The backing on the adhesive can sometimes be difficult to remove; gently bending the stripe or using a fingernail along the edge can help lift the corner for easier removal. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially when multiple units are affected.
We appreciate you sharing your comments and will be sure to pass them along to our product team for review.

Used to love this product - really stopped ants - but after the bait station redesign with "snap off tab" the baits don't work well at all. The throat of the trap is not flush to the floor and the ants don't climb into it. Plus they leak onto the floor now. Terro, please correct these design flaws with the bait package!!!

We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the updated bait stations, and we appreciate you sharing this detailed feedback. The design is intended to allow ants easy access while keeping the bait contained, so we understand your concern regarding access and leakage.
To help prevent leaks, we recommend placing the bait stations on a flat, level surface and ensuring the snap tab is opened cleanly without applying too much pressure. Positioning them directly along ant trails can also improve effectiveness.

I have purchased this in the past with will always give a 5 star glowing review. However, I am disappointed in the new packaging. The one where it allows you to stick the bait container directly to walls, comes in a 4 pack, and is higher in price. Well the sticky backing didnt stick. (Most if it emptied on to countertop). Then when trying to place it on counter the plastic containers doesn't sit flush like the original.
Though I will be purchasing the original today, I just wanted to let I thers know the new option is disappointing.

Thank you so much for your continued support and for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate your past 5-star reviews.
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience with the new packaging. It’s disappointing to learn that the adhesive backing didn’t perform as expected and that the container design made placement difficult. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers.
Your feedback is extremely valuable, and we’ll be sure to pass it along to our product team as we continue to evaluate and improve our designs.
We’re glad to hear you’ll be returning to the original version, and we truly appreciate your honesty in helping others make informed decisions.

I live on first floor apartment and every early spring I get ants bad due to the environment I live in. These baits worked amazing. The hard part with a person that’s OCD like me is waiting for them to swarm. It took one full day until I saw them, took about a week to get them all out of my house. I want instant results, this taught me to have patience!

There is a possibility that I am writing this review a little too early… but still. A lot of of these other reviews say that 24 hours later, the problem had resolved itself and everything was good and normal. That does not seem to be my experience. I found some little black ants trailing into my potted plants and promptly set one of these bait traps out and 24 hours later there’s still a strong line of ants in and out of my plants and a whole bunch of ants all up inside of this trap and nothing seems to be happening. I’ll admit that at this point I’m worried I’m doing nothing but feeding a very robust colony. I’ve tried everything, every year I fight these damn ants and to this day they seem to do nothing but laugh at my efforts. I wanted to avoid spraying anything in this area, but if this doesn’t work very soon I might be sol. If I can edit later, I’ll update with the outcome.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits. We’re sorry for the frustration this has caused. Seeing more ants in and around the bait is expected at first, as they are actively feeding and carrying the bait back to the colony. It can take several days for the colony to be affected, especially if it’s well-established.
For best results, avoid moving or replacing the bait while ants are feeding, and remove other food sources so the bait remains their main attraction.
These are Terro-ble.

These are Terro-ble. Almost impossible to get the easy open twist top off. Had to use a knife and god help you if you spill any, it dissolve parte of my vinyl floor. Would not recommend.
