Where to Place Multi-Surface Ant Baits
Place TERRO® Multi-Surface Liquid Ant Baits near ant trails and other locations where ants are numerous. It’s also a good idea to stop ants in their tracks by placing bait stations anywhere insects may try to enter your home. The multi-surface design provides flexibility with your placement options, including on walls, kick plates and counter tops.
Two-Color Design: Camouflage Your Ant Bait
Multi-Surface Ant Baits feature a discreet, two-color design. This innovation allows the baits to blend in with your existing décor so you won’t even notice they are there. Just choose the color that blends in best with the spot you are placing it – either white or brown – then apply the adhesive strip to the opposite side.
How Does Ant Bait Work
Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. Why? As ants forage for food, they are easily attracted to the sweet liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.
Meanwhile, the active ingredient is slowly interfering with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait, allowing you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t.
Baits Stay Fresh
Multi-Surface Ant Baits are sealed until you’re ready to use them. First, choose the perfect location for your ant bait. Next, twist off the tab to open up the bait. If needed, adhere the bait station with the included sticky tape. Remember: Until the tab is pulled off, the liquid bait inside stays fresh!

Followed all instructions. 1 out of 8 actually stuck to the baseboard. That one did attract some ants. All others fell off attracted very few ants. This also makes the product more dangerous for pets and small children. . I used the older version of these with the plastic cases around them and they always worked very well. I’ve tried to find older stock, but though Terro changed the product, they used the same product number so you can’t tell what you’re actually ordering as many sellers haven’t updated their product pictures. Please return to your old design with the plastic cases around them. I will not purchase any more of these indoor bait stations.

These traps did not stick to vertical surfaces as advertised. I followed the instructions including cleaning and drying the surface and holding for 10 seconds. All fell within hours. The previous design and adhesive was far superior, with those traps sticking for many months.

I was disappointed with most recent purchase!
like the terro product. However, when I recently purchased the “new design” it was a poor design. The plastic was flimsy, the adhesive pads did non stick. Please go back to previous enclosed case design!!

Why is only one side adhesive when it needs to stick to the bait AND the wall/surface. Disappointing!

This is a scam product. One side adhesive, how do you expect that to work?
Worthless product from a bad company.
Was very pleased to see an option for attachment instead of just placing on surfaces but this did not live up to its marketing at all. Clear backing was impossible to get off.
The directions even say that only one side of the adhesive patch can be peeled, and yet both sides need to be sticky in order for it to adhere to anything. I tried peeling the other side of the patch anyway, as that seems like the only logical way it would work, but I eventually just gave up.
Doesn’t stick to walls or cabinets or much of anything. That’s specifically why I bought this version. Difficult to cut open the top and expose the bait. Would not purchase again.
I’ll start by saying I had no issues with using the double sided adhesion stickies… they worked for me!
NOW, we have what is very likely an infestation and tried insecticide but that wasn’t cutting it. So, I decided to try the ant baits, after all, they do advertise that it will kill ants we see as well as those we don’t. We’ll, I bought the “discreet” 4 pack option for the bathroom and living room and kitchen BUT also bought the clear rectangular option for all other areas not visible to guests. I am completely disappointed with paying more than double for the “discreet” 4pk option because those proved to be useless. They did not attract the ants in the 2 areas I used them. Instead, the ants were traveling cross the entire kitchen to get to the other 2 (regular/rectangular clear) option… those proved to be very effective.
Initially, like the packaging states, many, many, many ants came out to feed on the bait BUT by day 3, GONE! A few stragglers here and there but it appears we won the battle (fingers crossed).
Yes, this is in fact a mixed review. The bait from the rectangular, clear packaging worked like a charm. The twice as expensive “discreet” option… pointless/useless. Don’t spend twice as much on the “fancy” plastic cover, option.
I bought this specifically for the adhesive option.
The adhesive pulls off the trap. There is no peeling the backing off of it.
Wasted money. Save the difference in cost between this and the regular traps.
How on earth do the Multi-Surface adhesive strips work??? The instructions say only one paper side (the printed side) is removable, and I believe it! There is no way I could get the paper on the other side off! You need to have adhesive on BOTH sides of the strip, don't you???

The paper backing on the adhesive strip may appear tricky to peel off on one side, but please rest assured that it will come off with a bit of effort. The side with the printed lettering is the one that should face the wall or surface, while the other side remains adhered to the bait station.

Will these work for roaches. I love your regular ant traps and they work great, but can't find anything specific to roaches at Lowes or Menards.

My bait stations have a bait pack with a note on the back about the chemical ingredients plus a triangle pull spot. Is this to prepare for adhesive placement or do I use the 4 tabs each marked REMO ONE REMOVABLE THIS SIDE ONLY for adhesive placement? Thanks.

How does this work? I don't see any activity around the baits that I put up yet. Do they crawl in the tiny hole in the top to get the liquid? What happens then? Do they die there or somewhere else? Thank you.
