TERRO® Outdoor Ant Baits

Put an end to large-scale infestations with these TERRO® Outdoor liquid ant baits. Their pre-filled, ready-to-use design is convenient and easy to install around your home or yard where ants have been observed. Each station contains 1 ounce of liquid formula, ensuring foraging worker ants share the bait with the entire colony, letting you exterminate the problem at the source.

How it Works

How it Works

Unlike contact killers, which only target visible worker ants on your property, these baits include slow-acting ingredients that have a delayed effect on the ant's digestive system. This deliberate kill method lets the foragers feed and return to the colony where they can spread the bait to the young and queen, eliminating the outdoor population before it can enter your home. During this time, the number of ants may increase as they swarm to feed on the sweetened liquid before they begin disappearing altogether.

Effortless Installation

The patented bait stations feature a foil seal that prevents the liquid from drying prior to placement. This prefilled design lets you prepare the bait and fill the internal reservoir in seconds by simply pushing the cup down and giving it a quarter turn, which punctures the foil. Ants access the bait through holes at the top of the ramps. Created for flexibility, these bait stations can be set flat inside garages, sheds, and deck spaces or outdoor grass or gravel-covered locations.

Have used for years with great success, indoors and outdoors. The recent removal of the stakes and the "stake holes" in the base (used to stake the unit in place when outdoors on soil) is a disappointment.

What kind of magic is ...

What kind of magic is this?! Just recently I started seeing these tiny, tiny ants on my kitchen table. I've never had bugs in the house and I figured they were creeping out of the newspaper. In a few days I saw them crawling across my kitchen counter! How disgusting. They had even gotten into a jar of apple jelly that, even though had a closed lid, somehow they made their way in as it sat on the counter. I put a single drop of this Terro on the little square of cardboard provided and they tore into it. I then put a second drop on the same paper but it was unneeded. They were gone. Gone! That was a week ago. I just reread the directions that said it might take a couple weeks to fully eradicate the problem so I put out another drop just in case but I think the little bastards are gone for good. Great product. Thanks!

These ant traps work great.

These ant traps work great. They continue working fir many months even after rain. I do wish they still came with the stakes as they kept the trap in place and made it easier to turn the quarter turn.

I Just bought this product and noticed that it doesn't come with the plastic nails .and didn't have holes in the plastic base anymore, I really love that about bait traps .great product but wish it hadn't changed.

This product works well for large ant colonies that are outdoors

This product works well for HUGE ant colonies. Unfortunately, I can only find these online. Whenever I receive a shipment, there's spilled bait liquid because the foil lid on the capsule gets damaged. Please revise how the baits are packaged with the plastic bases because they're either puncturing the foil seal or somehow the foil lid bursts. Thanks in advance!

I’ve used ant traps in .. my kitchen bathroom and my bedroom

I’ve used ant traps in the past. You know, the little gray plastic traps. No positive results. I tried these ant baits last year and found later in the year they were empty and the ants gone. This year, I got them as soon as I could. I put one where I knew the little buggers were. They swarmed the bait for a day. Some even drown (like I care). Next day, no more ants. I was amazed and glad.

Every year I purchase the outdoor liquid Ant Baits. I never have ants. I put two in back yard near door and 2 in front of my house. This works great for me. I do keep a can of the Terro ant spray just in case but actually never use it.

Q&A

Will this work on carpenter ants?
Question by: Ellie on Nov 16, 2024, 10:33 PM
Thank You for reaching out to us. The liquid ant baits are not recommended for carpenter ants. This product will attract most sweet eating ants. For carpenter ants try ant killer.

Can this be used in my vegetable garden?
Question by: Jeff on May 16, 2023, 10:24 PM
This product can be used around the perimeter of a garden. You want to avoid watering directly onto the stations because the water could get inside and dilute the bait.
