Yes, the TERRO® Roach Killing Gel Baits can be placed on kitchen counters if that is where roaches are active. Be sure to place the bait in an area where it will not come into contact with food, food preparation surfaces, utensils, or dishes.

The bait stations should be used as designed and should not be placed inside another container. Enclosing the bait station may reduce roach access and affect performance. For best results, place the bait stations near areas where roach activity has been observed and allow roaches to enter the station freely.

You can check bait usage by inspecting the bait through the bait tunnels/openings on the station. In most cases, you’ll be able to see how much bait remains by looking inside these access.

If the instructions mention a cap, that wording may not match the current design of your unit, and we apologize for the inconsistency.

TERRO® Roach Killing Gel Baits should be kept out of reach of pets. If your dog chewed on one of the bait stations, we recommend contacting your veterinarian or the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center for guidance as soon as possible, especially if you are unsure how much of the bait or plastic was ingested.

If possible, have the product packaging available when you call, as it contains information that may be helpful. In the future, place bait stations in areas that are inaccessible to pets while still allowing roaches to reach them.
