Question by: Hunter on Jun 21, 2025, 10:52 AM
Thank you for your question regarding the use of flies caught in the Terro® Fly Magnet.
We do not recommend feeding flies caught in the Fly Magnet to chickens. The trap is designed to attract and retain flies using bait that is not intended for animal consumption.

Hi, thank you so much for your question! They're likely escaping because the bag is full and needs to be changed.

About how much water is required for a fly magnet bait pack? I'm using a similar trap jar from another company, and it doesn't have a "fill to" line. Thank you.
Question by: Rod Gray on Jul 15, 2025, 4:57 PM
Thank you very much for contacting us.
The TERRO® Fly Magnet® Fly Trap is designed to be used by emptying the bait pack into the trap and adding warm water to the fill line, then swirling gently to mix. However, please note that these instructions are specific to our TERRO® traps. If you are using a trap jar from another brand that does not have a fill line, we cannot guarantee the same results.
