For a large infestation area, it is best to place TERRO® Liquid Ant Bait Stakes close to where ants are entering your home or where you see ant nests or trails. The more bait placements, the better the results. Be sure to leave the bait undisturbed while ants are actively feeding, and replace the baits every 3 months once ants are controlled to prevent them from returning.

Hi, thank you so much for your question! The composition of the product is 95% water and sugar, and the other 5% is borax. If a pet digests the product, we recommend taking the pet to the vet.

To ensure the best results, please follow these simple instructions:

Cut the Indented Tab: At the top of the stake, you’ll notice an indented tab. Please cut this tab off before use. This is an important step as it allows the ants to access the liquid bait more easily.

Place the Stakes Upright: Once the tab is cut, insert the stakes upright into the ground with the cut side facing upward. This ensures the ants can crawl up the neck of the stake and access the bait through the snipped slot.

Please be advised this does not work against fire ants or carpenter ants.

Yes, when placing the stakes outside, it’s important to avoid certain weather conditions. High temperatures (above 120–130°F) can cause the sugar in the bait to crystallize and harden. Also, avoid placing the stakes where they may be exposed to rain or sprinklers, as water can dilute the bait and reduce its effectiveness.
