This works if you can get it to stay on your garbage can. The adhesive is horrible. So far I have purchased 12 and everyone has fallen in the garbage. Do better with your product!!!!!

We're sorry to hear about your experience. For best results, the TERRO® Garbage Guard® Insect Killer should be applied to a clean, dry surface on the underside of the garbage can lid and pressed firmly into place. Dirt, moisture, extreme heat, or condensation can affect how well the adhesive adheres. If the unit has already fallen off, replacing it with a new one after thoroughly cleaning and drying the application area may help improve performance. I have been using this product every year during fly season. Which is everyday in Florida. It kills everything. I can tell when it stops working (3 to 4 months) and then I just replace with a new one.

I really wanted this to work, and ordered a two pack. I wanted one for my garbage dumpster, and one for my poop trash can for the dogs. The first one I put in my dumpster was gone after the first city trash pick up. The bottom half separated leaving and empty top half stuck to the lid and the bottom half went in the truck. The second one lasted exactly one week later it fell in to the poo pile and I did not notice it was missing until I emptied it. This time the whole thing came unstuck from the galvanized lid.

Love it and it works great. We ended up using a piece of wire and hung it from a small hook that is on the inside of our lid. Then we just take it off when we put the trash out to be picked up and then hang it back on afterwards.

Love all Terro products that I have tried.
Apparently the only problem with this product is not the ingredients nor effectiveness but the adhesive keeping it in place. Each time it is emptied you have to replace it because it sprang hold. Making it ineffective and expensive. Will have to find a way to make it stay in place.

Have now spent almost $20 on these things. I’ve tried everything except superglue to make it stick to trash can lid. Sometimes the whole thing falls, sometimes tape sticks to lid but the thing falls off the tape. Haven’t gotten it to stay on the lid more than a week.

It is wonderful we live in the country and have had BIG problems with bugs in our trash especially we are in Texas and no rain this product keeps me from having to spray my trash cans with bug spray. I will definitely keep ordering your products Thank You Oh and I would rate 5 Plus

While it was attached it worked great. The sticky strip didn't hold more than 3 weeks.
