Helpfulness
These don't work at all
May 1, 2025
These don't work at all and they're extremely inconvenient. Every single spring our walkway (brick) becomes riddled with ants. As does our patio. The old type of stakes I could push in easily, and within a few days the ants were clear of the areas. We had no issues with mowing, trimming, or kids/animals running around. They never hit them because they were lower than the grass. These stick out and get stepped on (ouch), broken, hit with the mower, and they get knocked out of the dirt easily. Why on earth would you design something that the ants need to climb and can't be anywhere in the yard? None of the areas I need these for are against walls. I never even see the ants inspect it. They just move along. I tried an indoor bait trap in the grass low and it was covered quickly and I removed it because I didn't want it to spill all over. So it's not the formula, it's the trap. Is it about cost? Because I'd pay an extra $5 just to have the option for the old traps. please terro. Hear the pleas of your customers.
Awful.

Awful. Please bring back the old style. I will never purchase these again. You have ruined a formerly great product.
DID NOT WORK!

Place the bail stakes outdoors right at the ant trails; even put them on the sideway, so the openings are in the way of the trails. No ants were attracted to the bails. It didn't work at all.

These new ant baits (see-through) do not attract and kill ants like the old ones (solid green square) did. I installed them in inch-wide ant trails and I haven't seen a single ant on or in one, and the ant trails are still there. Same kind of ants that the old style worked on for 12 years. We are overrun with ants in both yards and if they get in the house I'm sending you the exterminator's bill.
Old ones worked these don't

Old ones worked great but these new ones are horrible. They don't go into the ground easily and they break when the trimmer goes near them. Worst of all they seem less effective at killing ant than the old ones.

Easier to cut then the old style but flimsy and unless they're against a wall, aren't holding up as something is knocking them over or bending them. Also impossible to cut when in the ground so spilled some getting it in. Just make refills for the better stakes!!
Your new formula doesn’t work.

Your new formula doesn’t work. I actually got the stakes in the ground but they don’t work. Very disappointed o had used the hard plastic stakes from Terro for years and the ants would be gone in 2 days it’s been 2 weeks and I still have ants. I do not recommend and won’t buy again

We appreciate your feedback regarding this bait station. The formula for the liquid bait has not changed, but how long it takes to eliminate a colony varies depending on the number in the area and how large those colonies are. Please contact us at 844-837-7644 with any questions.

Thought I was ordering the ant bait stakes we had used in the past but got these. They are impossible to even stick in the ground and am totally disgusted with them! Would NOT recommend them! This is the first Terro product that has disappointed me! Doesn’t even deserve one star!
Works great!

Works great! I followed instructions and located the ant trail. Stuck the bait stake into the ground near their activity and used utility scissors to snip off the corner. The ants were crawling all over and into it within minutes! Now I gleefully wait for them to die.
Not heavy enough for ground

Did not work. Stuck them tight in ground, and followed instructions. All got knocked over and spilled in just 3 days of use by the wind or a mysterious wild animal (like a squirrel). Would not recommend product due to cheap lightweight material.
