I've used the former stakes and they worked very well but for some reason these are not attracting the ants. Very disappointed since I bought a bunch of them. It isn't clear what the problem is.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're sorry to hear the TERRO® Outdoor Liquid Ant Bait Stakes aren’t attracting ants as expected. This type of liquid ant bait is designed to attract sweet-feeding ants. Many ant species change their food preferences throughout the season depending on the colony’s needs. For example, during parts of the breeding cycle, the colony may require more protein or fat rather than sugary foods, which can make sweet baits less attractive for a period of time. It’s also possible that the ants have found another nearby food source, which can reduce their interest in the bait. In some cases, they may currently be seeking protein or grease-based foods instead of sweets. If possible, try placing the bait stations directly along active ant trails and near entry points, and make sure other food sources are minimized. If the ants’ feeding preferences change back to sweets, they will usually begin feeding on the bait again. We appreciate your feedback and hope this information helps explain what you may be seeing.

I cant recommend these stakes, as they have so many issues. The formula hasn't changed and still works, it just takes a few days to a week or two. HOWEVER 1) The stakes are thin and flimsy. 2) They're hard to get in the ground. 3) You pretty much have to place them against a wall, foundation, etc. 4) Due to them being thin, you barely tap them with a weed trimmer and you slice them open. 5) The break-off part isn't always the easiest to break off, sometimes you'll waste stakes because you end up crushing them or cracking them in the process of opening them or shoving them in the ground. 6) They dont always break open clean. Other than the cracking risk, you also end up with the chance of it only opening up a tint bit. 7) Wirh the opening being towars the top, it makes it harder for ants to get in and out of them, but also makes it easier for everything else to get in them... such as diet, grass clippings, water (which defeats the purpose if the ants lose track of them due to the water blocking the attracting properties, or the ants drowning in the water while trying to get the bait. These aren't worth the money anymore. They need to be thicker and sturdier. I cant recommend this product... I do recommend the style that have the base wirh two stakes and the cup that inserts doen into a channel in the top... but even with them, a trimmer makes mince meat of the cup rather easily. The cup style are also getting much harder to find. Only place I can find them is Amazon, and my last batch of them arrived damage with bait liquid leaking out.

Very disappointed with this product. This ant baits do not attract and kill ants. I bought it in the beginning of June put it out and nothing happened. Ants do not get in to the tube, so I poured it out in different containers so they will have access. Refiled it few times throughout the month and they still alive and well. Would like to have my money back.

As everyone else has said, you have ruined a good product with your redesign! I wish I would have kept some of the old ones and refilled them because these are worthless!

I thought I was getting the old style but these came instead and don’t like them. They aren’t sturdy and crinkle when you put pressure on them, the hole seems almost on top of the stake and ants go in and drown. I have to smear the liquid on the outside or they’re completely ignored. I had the good fortune to have two of the old stakes so I cut the tops off the new ones and just refill the old ones. They always get emptied out so I think the ants even prefer the old design.

These don't work at all

These don't work at all and they're extremely inconvenient. Every single spring our walkway (brick) becomes riddled with ants. As does our patio. The old type of stakes I could push in easily, and within a few days the ants were clear of the areas. We had no issues with mowing, trimming, or kids/animals running around. They never hit them because they were lower than the grass. These stick out and get stepped on (ouch), broken, hit with the mower, and they get knocked out of the dirt easily. Why on earth would you design something that the ants need to climb and can't be anywhere in the yard? None of the areas I need these for are against walls. I never even see the ants inspect it. They just move along. I tried an indoor bait trap in the grass low and it was covered quickly and I removed it because I didn't want it to spill all over. So it's not the formula, it's the trap. Is it about cost? Because I'd pay an extra $5 just to have the option for the old traps. please terro. Hear the pleas of your customers.

Awful. Please bring back the old style. I will never purchase these again. You have ruined a formerly great product.
