Multi-surface ant baits

It’s also a good idea to stop ants in their tracks by placing bait stations anywhere insects may try to enter your home. The multi-surface design provides flexibility with your placement options, including on walls, kick plates and counter tops.

Discrete Roach Traps
Two-Color Design: Camouflage Your Ant Bait Multi-Surface Ant Baits feature a discreet, two-color design. This innovation allows the baits to blend in with your existing décor so you won’t even notice they are there. Just choose the color that blends in best with the spot you are placing it – either white or brown – then apply the adhesive strip to the opposite side.
How Does Ant Bait Work

Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. Why? As ants forage for food, they are easily attracted to the sweet liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.

Meanwhile, the active ingredient is slowly interfering with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait, allowing you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t.

How does Ant Bait Work

Three Access Points
Bait Stays Fresh Multi-Surface Ant Baits are sealed until you’re ready to use them. First, choose the perfect location for your ant bait. Next, twist off the tab to open up the bait. If needed, adhere the bait station with the included sticky tape. Remember: Until the tab is pulled off, the liquid bait inside stays fresh!

Ants made a trail right past it By RBC
Unfortunately, these don’t seem to work as the hole to get inside is too high. The trail of ants just went right by the bait trip and not one went inside - two separate locations.. The Terro liquid dropped on the cardboard seem to work best so far to bait them, yet they keep coming back.

Does Not Work By AntKiller

They Do not work. At first I'd had to kill, kill, ants all day. Put these up and ants everywhere they don't stop coming. FYI, these have been up for 30 days and still no change.

Not sure this was well thought out By Mar
I have had 100 percent success rate with Terro until these multi surface baits. The twist off absolutely does not twist off. Scissors are required and even so, is really difficult to cut off. The design was not well thought out as the ants, yes they are sweet ants because they have found any crumb of food not cleaned up, do not have any interest in finding their way into this thing. I will give them another week and if no bites, I will need to resort back to the messy drop on the piece of paper method

Awesome product By Michelle

When my fiancé and I got engaged, I moved into his house. There were ants everywhere. He said he had battled them for years. I set 8 baits around the house and let’s just say, I haven’t seen an ant in weeks. I will def recommend those product. Awesome.

Doesn’t work By Disappointed

The ants walk right by it. I have video. They pay no attention to it at all. I’ve put it directly on their trail. I’ve killed 40 ants in one day. No shortage of ants. They don’t like it

We are so sorry to hear about this! This trap will attract sweet-eating ants. If ants are avoiding this product, it’s possible they’re just not into sweets for one reason or another (weird, but possible!). When baiting is not the answer, we recommend trying a contact killing spray or outdoor treatment. Additionally, this trap is backed by a 30-day return policy. Please feel free to give us a ring at 1-844-837-7644 so that we might assist you!

Think it worked? Would like to know... By Malcyber

I believe the product worked, but it created quite a mess of dead ants for me to clean up!, I mean it was mostly the "flying" ants that mate I'm assuming this is normal?

Worked for me By VTantkiller

These Terro bait traps worked for our home. Blocked off spot of entry for the little buggers, and ended up re-routing them straight to these traps. They've been holding up great and 2 of the 4 bait traps I placed are swarmed with little red and black ants. Just waiting for them to dwindle away. Going to try these again another time. The bottle of Terro liquid has not worked very well In the past, same with their standard bait traps. These ones work wonders though

Wrong re-design By KarenPN

I was happy when I saw these because I love Terro liquid ant bait (except that it always runs out of the container and is extremely hard to clean up.) Well, the ants completely ignore these containers...I don't know if they smell funny or they can't get in them? They march right past them, even when I put them flat like the old type!! What you NEED to do is re-design the old bait containers so that the front sits a little higher than the back!!!! I wasted my money on these and, of course, I did not save my receipt :(

Thank you for your feedback! Ants can climb, and are still able to access the bait in the new bait station style. If ants are avoiding TERRO® Liquid Ant Bait, it’s possible they’re just not into sweets for one reason or another (weird, but possible!). When this occurs, we recommend using one of our contact-killing products. Please contact our Consumer Relations Team at 1-844-837-7644 for assistance.

Not sure about the packaging but it really works for ants By KPM

It for sure works just like all the Terro ant products. The ingredients really work but not sure this packaging is the best. For whatever reason it seems to take much longer for the ants to find the traps and for sure the "tab" is impossible to break off. I had to use scissors and it is pretty tough to get them in the opening. When the ants do find it, it really works great. Also, not as easy to see the ants going in but the package looks nice on the counter or windowsill

Q&A
Q.If you see carpenter ants eating this, will it kill the colony? I know it states that it excludes them.
A.

The bait within the stations is sweet-based, which is not usually what carpenter ants crave. The carpenter ants that do have a sweet-tooth will be effected by the Borax within the bait. We recommend contact killers, such as TERRO® Carpenter Ant & Termite Killer, for carpenter ants, as the majority of carpenter ants seek baits that are protein-based or grease-based.

Q.Are baits affected by heat or water? The few ants I've seen have been next to my kitchen sink. If I put one behind the sink it will probably be splashed with water a lot.
A.

The liquid ant bait in these stations contains water as an ingredient and will not be effected by additional water. The bait itself is also protected by the station's casing, and should not have issues when placed near a sink. The water may have an effect on the adhesive strips if you choose to use them.

Q.Are these ant traps safe to use in kitchen and food preparation areas?
A.

When used as directed, these bait stations are safe to use in kitchens and other areas.

Ants

There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae, and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
