Long lasting and weather resistant, TERRO® Perimeter Ant Bait Plus granules kill entire colonies of outdoor ants – including carpenter ants. The bait also eliminates cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, silverfish, slugs and snails, but will not harm beneficial insects such as ladybugs and butterflies.
How it Works
Outdoor ant problems are an annoyance, but they can also lead to indoor ant problems as ants travel in search of food. TERRO® Perimeter Ant Bait Plus is designed to kill ants and other pests outdoors, keeping an indoor invasion at bay.
Ants are drawn to the sweet ingredients in TERRO® Perimeter Ant Bait. The bait, which is borate-based and formulated with a concern for the environment, has a delayed effect on ants.
While the active ingredient in the bait will ultimately kill the worker ant, it works slowly enough that the worker has time to get back and share the bait with the rest of the colony, including the queen. A slow kill is needed to allow time for the foraging ants to make several trips to the bait and deliver enough bait to the rest of the colony and the queen — this is the only way to eradicate the entire colony.
Long-lasting and Effective
TERRO® Perimeter Ant Bait Plus granules are packaged in a 2 lb. shaker bottle, making it easy to spread the granules around the perimeter of a typical house — no spreader is needed. Long-lasting, the weather-resistant granules won’t break down when exposed to the elements. It will stand up to sunlight, heat and rain, and remain effective until consumed by the ants and other unwanted insects.

Amazon Review By Lfmiller
I live in a very humid area of the country, so I figured I'd give this product a tough trial. I was especially pleased to be able to try it before 'ant season' was in full swing. Accordingly I read the directions, sprinkled the stuff all around the house perimeter, as directed, and hoped for a miracle. Though this did not eliminate ants completely, it did indeed cut way back on the evidence of ants. And (YAY!) I haven't seen a slug yet. This stuff purports to fend off slugs (a big problem for me in my house). So, 5 stars for anti-slug efficacy; 3 stars for ant repelling powers. Technically that should mean a 4-star rating. It's still better than anything else I have tried to date. But it does not eliminate ants, unfortunately.

I used this ant bait on a very large ant colony in my back yard. I sprinkled the bait around the ant hill openings on Saturday evening, and by Sunday evening, all the ants were gone and did not come back. I highly recommend this for fire ants and other small ants.
- All About
There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae, and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
