TERRO® Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits attract and kill common household ants.
To use this outdoor liquid ant bait, simply place the pre-filled, ready-to-use liquid bait stations outdoors in areas where ants are observed and, if desired, secure the baits with the stakes provided. The patented outdoor ant baits prevent the liquid bait from drying out, providing the ants with a continuous supply of food, day and night. Ants typically follow defined trails from the nest to food or water. Placing the outdoor ant baits close to these trails will improve control.
How Does This Outside Ant Control Work?
While the active ingredient in TERRO® Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits will ultimately kill the worker ant, this outdoor ant bait interferes with the ant's digestive system and works slowly enough that the worker has time to get back and share the ant bait with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is needed to allow time for the foraging ants to make several trips to the outdoor ant bait stations and deliver enough bait to the rest of the colony. Baiting enables you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t. Complete control may take up to two weeks.

Review RateProduct does very well
I prefer this product method for the house outdoor control. It works well. I've seen little ants visiting this and then suddenly they aren't there after about a week or so. There is no shame in placing these traps around your home's foundation. The ants that are nearby will try and enter your structure and ruin stuff. Yes, ants have their place in nature. But the ones living closest to your home, do not have good intentions.
Review RateGood so far.
Not really sure yet. Summer is just beginning. Haven't seen any ants in the house recently but we did several interventions, including Terro. The inside ant bait liquid does work well. I've recommended your products to a couple friends.
Review RateDon't try anything else.Been using Terro liquid ant baits for the last five years to great success. But, you have hit a home run with your latest design. I just put them out and it was so easy. Thank you.

This stuff works really well!
Review RateMy ant invasion is GONE!!!
Due to the summer heat, I experienced the worst ant infestation in my life. They were everywhere from a single piece of left over cat kibble, to crumbs from my kids, to cupboards, pantry, garage, bathrooms, upstairs office, even in my dishwasher on plates....GROSS!!! I was desperate and skeptical at the same time when I saw these traps but OMG....these things got rid of them all. I followed every trail outside my house and placed them at points of entry to their nests and BOOM! I bought the spray as well but have had no need to use it. Hasta La Vista, baby!!!!
Review RateIT REALLY DOES WORK!!!
Five stars isn't enough for the outdoor liquid ant baits! I've used them faithfully for years---every 3 months as directed and never had an ant issue. However...since retail stores stopped carrying these specific ant baits I bought a couple packages of the green stakes. Sadly a couple of months later I had a horrendous ant infestation. I used the Terro ant spray to kill them indoors and went on the Terro website to buy these white outdoor ant baits. They work the best for my home and perimeter. I recommend Terro to all my neighbors and friends. Hey ants...stay outside where you belong!!
Review RateREALLY work!!
My home becomes a battlefield each summer. I can't even open my kitchen window! In past years, I'd put home-made bait traps (made with baking powder & corn syrup) which were minimally successful. This year, they didn't work at all and I was really desperate. We were about to go on vacation and I didn't want to return to an ant-infested home. I put the Terro bait traps outside every window and door and they worked like a charm! In fact, we're home now over 2 weeks and there is still NO sign of any ants. THANK YOU, TERRO!!
Review RateWorks Great!
I put out the baits just like it says on the ants path and right away. I have feral kittens I am feeding and the ants where all over the food. I put a trap in the pathway and the ants went for it instead of the food.
Review RateThis product is a must have
AWESOME!!!! I had a ton of tiny little ants. All over my kitchen and living room. Within 24 hours they are GONE!!!! I put one outside also. My dad gave me one of your traps last year and same results. This stuff is amazing. I order a huge quantity but it really only took 1 to rid my house of the problem. I will not purchase any other product. I can leave this right on my counter with no worries.
Review RateNo poison!
I live in an area where we have lots of ants. I keep a supply of these around because it's a year round battle. After putting these outside by the doors and a few other key places the ants slow way down or even just disappear after a few days.
- All About
There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
What’s the difference between liquid and gel ant baits?
It’s a little known fact that adult worker ants cannot digest solid food (bait). Their anatomy is designed for transporting and digesting liquids only. Solid foods must be carried back to the colony for additional processing by the larvae stage. Liquid baits exploit this unique physiology by making it easy for ants to transport the liquid bait back to the rest of the colony, including the queen, larvae and other workers.
I just placed several TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits on my deck and it’s attracting more ants, not killing them! What’s going on?
You have nothing to worry about! Initially, you will see more ants. As ant foragers look for food, they are attracted to the sweet liquid in the bait which they consume and carry back to feed to the rest of the colony. On the way back to the nest, the ants drop what it called a ‘trail pheromone’, letting the other ants know where the tasty food supply is. In turn, these ants follow the trail to the bait which explains why you initially see more ants.
The active ingredient in the bait interferes with the ants' digestive systems, eventually killing the ants within 24-48 hours after consumption. This slow kill gives the worker ants enough to get back and share the bait with the colony. Baiting is the only way to successfully wipe out the ants you see and the thousands you don’t.
