TERRO® Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits attract and kill common household ants.
To use this outdoor liquid ant bait, simply place the pre-filled, ready-to-use liquid bait stations outdoors in areas where ants are observed and, if desired, secure the baits with the stakes provided. The patented outdoor ant baits prevent the liquid bait from drying out, providing the ants with a continuous supply of food, day and night. Ants typically follow defined trails from the nest to food or water. Placing the outdoor ant baits close to these trails will improve control.
How Does This Outside Ant Control Work?
While the active ingredient in TERRO® Outdoor Liquid Ant Baits will ultimately kill the worker ant, this outdoor ant bait interferes with the ant's digestive system and works slowly enough that the worker has time to get back and share the ant bait with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is needed to allow time for the foraging ants to make several trips to the outdoor ant bait stations and deliver enough bait to the rest of the colony. Baiting enables you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t. Complete control may take up to two weeks.

Review RateExactly what I needed when I needed it!
We live in a wooded area and bugs are just part of the territory. You cannot escape the fact that you will need to actively participate in protecting your home. I was able to do a great deal because of your terrific products! The problem still exists, but has slowed significantly. It has given me time to hire a proper exterminator to help keep the pests away from the main floor of the home. Exactly what I needed when I needed it! Thank you, T

Review RateAnts on deck are gone!
Excellent product! Arrived quickly after ordering and got rid of several types of ants on our deck.
Review RateUse every year, and are pleased with effectiveness.
We use these TERRO outdoor ant baits for years. You need to remember that you will see more ants at first, as they swarm to the baits. Good news as they will bring this back to their nest to kill MORE ants. We place traps all around our house, and some around our yard if needed. We also use TERRO indoor ant baits in case ants make it that far.

We use Terri outdoor ant baits every year. You must remember that you will see more ants at first, as ants flock to the bait. Good news as they take it back to the nest to kill more. Review RateWorks Fast, Pet Safe
Phoenix, AZ invites resilient pests in all shapes and forms. The ant problem we experienced in our backyard kept shifting to other locations. We thought we had the problem solved, with other "recommended products" just to find out another trail of ants formed some place else in the yard. We ordered Terro ant traps online -- placed them at strategic places around our back yard and within a week, we noticed the ants and ant trails were gone. The best thing about Terro, we have two rescue dogs who spend time in the back yard when it's cool enough and we feel secure that Terro products are not toxic to our pets.
Review RateSaved our 100 yr old home
We have been using these traps for carpenter ants both inside and outside our home for years effectively. Our local store ran out and we tried another common brand..big mistake! Glad to find your website with options available we have never seen in our stores. Thanks for helping preserve our 100 year old house in a inner ring suburb with large old trees, not uncommon when they are cut to find huge carpenter and nests within. I'm telling all my neighbors who also have old homes to protect. Thank you for such a safe and effective product!
Review RateProduct does very well
I prefer this product method for the house outdoor control. It works well. I've seen little ants visiting this and then suddenly they aren't there after about a week or so. There is no shame in placing these traps around your home's foundation. The ants that are nearby will try and enter your structure and ruin stuff. Yes, ants have their place in nature. But the ones living closest to your home, do not have good intentions.
Review RateGood so far.
Not really sure yet. Summer is just beginning. Haven't seen any ants in the house recently but we did several interventions, including Terro. The inside ant bait liquid does work well. I've recommended your products to a couple friends.
Review RateDon't try anything else.Been using Terro liquid ant baits for the last five years to great success. But, you have hit a home run with your latest design. I just put them out and it was so easy. Thank you.
- All About
There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
What’s the difference between liquid and gel ant baits?
It’s a little known fact that adult worker ants cannot digest solid food (bait). Their anatomy is designed for transporting and digesting liquids only. Solid foods must be carried back to the colony for additional processing by the larvae stage. Liquid baits exploit this unique physiology by making it easy for ants to transport the liquid bait back to the rest of the colony, including the queen, larvae and other workers.
I just placed several TERRO® Liquid Ant Baits on my deck and it’s attracting more ants, not killing them! What’s going on?
You have nothing to worry about! Initially, you will see more ants. As ant foragers look for food, they are attracted to the sweet liquid in the bait which they consume and carry back to feed to the rest of the colony. On the way back to the nest, the ants drop what it called a ‘trail pheromone’, letting the other ants know where the tasty food supply is. In turn, these ants follow the trail to the bait which explains why you initially see more ants.
The active ingredient in the bait interferes with the ants' digestive systems, eventually killing the ants within 24-48 hours after consumption. This slow kill gives the worker ants enough to get back and share the bait with the colony. Baiting is the only way to successfully wipe out the ants you see and the thousands you don’t.
