Discrete Roach Traps
Two-Color Design: Camouflage Your Ant Bait Multi-Surface Ant Baits feature a discreet, two-color design. This innovation allows the baits to blend in with your existing décor so you won’t even notice they are there. Just choose the color that blends in best with the spot you are placing it – either white or brown – then apply the adhesive strip to the opposite side.
How Does Ant Bait Work

Since this is a bait, initially you will see more ants – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. Why? As ants forage for food, they are easily attracted to the sweet liquid inside the bait stations. After finding the bait, worker ants consume it and leave behind a pheromone trail leading back to the colony. This trail lets other worker ants know where the newly discovered food supply is. This is why you will see more ants in the beginning.

Meanwhile, the active ingredient is slowly interfering with the ant’s digestive system, ultimately killing it, but leaving enough time for the ant to go back and share the dose with the rest of the colony. This slow kill is necessary so that foraging ants can make several trips to the bait, allowing you to get rid of both the ants you see and the ants you don’t.

How does Ant Bait Work

Three Access Points
Bait Stays Fresh Multi-Surface Ant Baits are sealed until you’re ready to use them. First, choose the perfect location for your ant bait. Next, twist off the tab to open up the bait. If needed, adhere the bait station with the included sticky tape. Remember: Until the tab is pulled off, the liquid bait inside stays fresh!

How are ants supposed to get in or out of these? By dB Cooper

Did not have luck with these. Ants did not go near them. When mounted vertically, the small brown ants we have cannot climb the inside walls of the trap to leave. I tested the traps by putting a few ants in there. They just slide back down. Also, ants did not venture into the traps on their own. I really like the regular liquid ant baits and was intrigued by the possibility of mounting the trap vertically under a step. However, I will go back to the other product.

Goodbye ants By Susan

I love these things!! I can stick them on the wall where the ants are entering. They're out of the way -- no one's going to knock them about and spill them. And they work!

Stylish and Safe By f'ants'y p'ants'

These new indoor ant traps work well and don't look bad at all. It's nice that you can choose the dark or the light side depending on the color of your interior decor. The adhesive tape squares are two-sided. One is easy to peel off. This is the one that I attach to the mounting surface so that I can peel it up without causing damage when the trap is empty. The other is difficult to peel off. That one attaches to the ant trap. You could do it the opposite way, but that makes it very difficult to remove from the mounting surface. Have had no problems with our cats/dog playing with/dislodging these or with them coming loose from vacuuming or mopping. I think that it would very difficult for a toddler to pull them off of the surface to which they are adhered. My only mistake is that I didn't put enough traps down initially. I have a major infestation, but I only put down a few, which enabled the ants to just move to a different crack in the baseboards. I advise to order enough to put in every corner of every room, perhaps even more for kitchens and bathrooms. This will be the "nuclear option" which will give the ants no place to break through the line of defense. I definitely recommend these ant traps! I wish that they sold these in bulk! HINT! HINT! TERRO!

Confused By Lanie

What's the difference between these ant baits and the liquid ones that you cut and make a hole. I would have preferred those to the ones pictured here but the store didn't have them. Is this something new?? Which is better??

Response From Terro®
Jennifer : Consumer Relations Representative

Hello Lanie,

The traps have recently been updated to a new design. While the old design is still available (please click here), this newer design includes some added features including an adhesive strip to attach the bait stations to walls or under cabinets and a discreet, two-color design to blend in with your décor.

Odorus House Ants By AceH826

I have been using Terro liquid baits for years, and this design is new to me. It sounds funny to be saying that I'm really happy with the activity of the black ants since I've put the four traps down but it means that the ants are attracted to the bait and they won't be around much longer. I really like the design and that it comes with adhesive double-sided tape - I have a cat that plays with everything so being able to make sure she's not batting it around is super important to me.

Waste of money By David

This is a horrible product. Do not buy it. Costs more for less traps and the solution for attaching it is unusable. Received four squares of attaching tape and each was only sticky one side. Unable to attach the square to the trap.

Q&A
Q.Are baits affected by heat or water? The few ants I've seen have been next to my kitchen sink. If I put one behind the sink it will probably be splashed with water a lot.
A.

The liquid ant bait in these stations contains water as an ingredient and will not be effected by additional water. The bait itself is also protected by the station's casing, and should not have issues when placed near a sink. The water may have an effect on the adhesive strips if you choose to use them.

Q.Are these ant traps safe to use in kitchen and food preparation areas?
A.

When used as directed, these bait stations are safe to use in kitchens and other areas.

Q.How many months/years will these stay fresh/usable if tab not pulled? I ask because I had some of your T300s kept in my cabinet for a long time (no recollection how long), and when I pulled them out the liquid had yellowed and had gained an expansive quality such that they leaked all over my counter tops shortly after cutting them open and placing them on my counter tops.
A.

While this product does not have an expiration date, we recommend replacing after two years to keep the bait fresh. As long as the product is in liquid form, it is still active. Over time, the liquid may start to crystallize, causing the bait to turn a different color.

Ants

There are more than 10,000 known species of ants living throughout the world. Like other insects, they have six legs; each with three joints. Ants have large heads with compound eyes, elbowed antennae, and powerful jaws. Ants are social insects that live in structured nest communities throughout the world. The species of ant determines whether they live underground, in mounds built at ground level, in wood structures or in plants or trees.
